So another White House renovation is in progress, like the dozens before it, that none of the detractors can name, nor do they care about.

There is outrage over "demolishing the White House, a symbol of America, without approval, yadda yadda."

The approving authority is the Executive Branch, which is to say the President. The end.  Grow up.

The  project is not demolishing the White House, it's demolishing one overhang is all. Demolition is part of virtually every renovation project. Anyone who has seen even a home improvement show knows this. TV shows milk the destruction for primal excitement.  I do not believe for a second the complainants haven't seen such a show, so their outrage is a lie. Their Opinion Provider has told them to be outraged, because ORANGE MAN BAD, so they must extol their outrage in best Orwellian fashion, lest they be found unclean by the Collective. There are even Europeans, who've never looked at a layout and only recognize the frontage shown on the news, and Canadians, whose soldiers previously burned it, who are feigning the vapors.

In other words, they are morally bankrupt, intellectually vacant, and socially craven.

They invoke the "Command post under the East Wing," which is an 80 year old hangover from WWII, far from the only backup site or aircraft, and again, something they weren't even aware of until their Opinion Provider told them to panic.

They're outraged at the concept of a BALLROOM, a space for formal functions. 0b0z0's basketball court was fine. Bill Clinton's Oval Office humidor was fine. But not a ballroom. Because their Opinion Provider has told them it is an outrage.

The extant ballroom has a capacity of about 250 people. The planned one will support 650.  This will negate the need to erect tents outside for formal events, which action is rather tacky for the most powerful nation in history.  Of course, the twofold issue here is that the detractors don't comprehend erections or room for balls. Scary concepts.  And even at 650 people, it will be a smaller function space than quite a few European nations have.

There are suspicious, furtive glances thrown at the donors, with implied and blatant comments about quid pro quo.  Liberals must assume a quid pro quo, because despite their claims of not caring about wealth, everything comes down to an avaricious acquisition of same, in some sort of deal. The idea that the donors want America to have a beautiful venue the nation can be proud of, to welcome our guests, and that their only wish is to attend a function in the new space, and possibly have their name on a plaque is completely alien. They don't need additional money nor power, and they want the country to live up to its status.  Liberals cannot grasp this concept. One must demand some sort of return on a donation.

The real, unacknowledged fear is that whenever this ballroom gets used in the future, they will have to acknowledge that it was President Donald Trump who made it happen, improved the White House, and gave it a ballroom with the status it deserves for the current era.

And that nobody cares about 0bama's basketball court.

They are outraged because they are ignorant, stupid, and pathetic.

And Americans should mock them endlessly.
